Macmillan Cancer Support is over a century old and has helped millions. Without them, even more families and friends would suffer. No one should face cancer alone, so we're doing this together.

Knowing all too well how it feels losing someone close to cancer, knowing they have the support and care of all the people at Macmillan to ensure there made to feel as comfortable as possible as well as supporting family and friends through the hard times at hand.

I've lost one of my grandparents to cancer, its a horrible illness that brings down even the strongest of people. Macmillan nurses go the extra mile for those in their care and deserve far more funding than they are currently given. Without their vital services the world would be a sadder place.

With cancer affecting a lot of my close family members and having survived a major operation for a different disease, I know all too well that if people did not give to these charities there wouldn't be nearly enough support and money to give everyone the best chance of recovery. No one fights alone.

I'm fortunate enough to only know a handful of people who have been affected by cancer, nevertheless, I still wanted to take this opportunity to help raise money for a very worthy charity and its great work.

Losing an Auntie to cancer, I know first-hand how cancer affects people's lives and how comforting and supportive a charity like Macmillan can be.

Hopefully for future generations cancer will become a thing of the past but for today it's nice we've got charities like Macmillan and they need all the support they can get. I know personally how much cancer can affect a family as it took my auntie, and has now my uncle has it too.

I'm doing Game Heroes for everyone who has lost a loved one to cancer. More specifically I want to support a close family member of mine who is currently battling this illness.
